“It’s a place for everyone and every experience level.”
“Everyone's at a different point in their journey, whether it's in preserving, homesteading, or gardening.
I like that there is a wide range. Some know more than others. Many are just starting and learning.
It makes it a lot more approachable. It's a great mix. It’s a place for everyone and every experience level.”
– SHANNON
Does this sound familiar?
You picture it in your mind: a garden heavy with the evening’s harvest, a pantry lined with beautiful jars, and a sense of empowered peace. You want to reclaim those foundational skills that feel like your birthright, but...
- Honestly, growing a garden?! Learning to preserve? Cooking from scratch?! It all just feels like a lot, and you question your skills and abilities.
- You feel overburdened by a fast-paced life, and the thought of adding another chore to your to-do list feels overwhelming.
- The thought of a pressure canner exploding in your kitchen paralyzes you with fear. Or perhaps you’ve gone on some Youtube deep dives about canning, and the thought of botulism freaks you out to no end.
- Your aesthetically-pleasing Instagram feed makes you feel like you’ll never achieve that level of abundance, beauty, & hygge. So why even bother?
- You wince at the thought of going it alone. Starting from ground zero feels BIG and you prefer a little (or a lot) of hand holding).
- Ghosts from failed gardens continue to echo in your mind. You’re not even sure you have enough space to grow a worthwhile garden, but ditching it all to move off-grid isn’t exactly in the cards right now.
You Deserve to Learn in a Safe Space, at Your Own Pace.
It should feel nourishing and empowering. Like a warm cup of tea with a friend. It’s time to scrap that pesky voice in your head telling you that you can’t do this, because the truth is,
it does not have to be perfect to be worthwhile.
Here’s what you don’t need to worry about:
- Canning hundreds of jars of tomatoes or planting a massive garden your first year.
- Having a Pinterest-perfect aesthetic to grow a nourishing garden for your family.
- Feeling pressure to "get it right" to build confidence and strengthen your skills.
Getting out of the pressure for perfection will allow you to feel relaxed and at peace. I’ll be that friend. You’ve got me as your mentor. I’m here to hold your hand as you cultivate the garden and pantry of your dreams.
You can do it. Regardless of your skill level or where you live, you have everything you need to get started.

“A book often doesn't fully address your exact situation. Here, you can just get in the forum and go, ‘Hey, I have a question about this.’ Chelsea is right there, with everybody, addressing exactly what your needs are. That's incredible. It’s better than a book with all the information.”

“Chelsea has lessened the perfectionism load off of my shoulders so much. She's like, ‘just do it. It doesn't matter if it's not perfect.’ Everyone's hearts are so wide open in this community.
And Chelsea is the reason why people are like this. She's drawing those types of people in.
She's a kindness magnet.”

“It is the most fluid, easy group to be a part of. You can come in with any amount of knowledge or life experience… or none!
In our daily lives, everything is so jam-packed and I feel like you can lose your identity. This has helped me hold on to my identity, my desires, and my enjoyment.”

MEET YOUR MASTER GARDENING MENTOR
Chelsea Nicole
Hey, Friend!
I’m Chelsea, the founder and voice behind the Little Mountain Ranch YouTube channel and online community. For the last 15 years, my family and I have been building our farm and homestead here in the interior of BC, Canada, and I am very happy to have you here with me.
With over 20 years of gardening and canning experience, my mission is now to empower others with the tools and confidence needed to grow their own food, preserve their harvests, and enrich their lives through the practices of traditional homesteading. It’s the healing power of the garden that has kept me here, and I am grateful for the kind souls that have joined me on this incredible journey.
“Kindred spirits are not so scarce as I used to think. It’s splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world.”
— Anne of Green Gables
A few fun facts about me:
- I am an Earl Grey tea drinker; some might say obsessively so.
- Anne of Green Gables and The Matrix are my favorite movies, which tells you a lot about me.
- Dogs over cats, but I have seven cats to two dogs. Dan says I’m a closet cat lover, which might be true.
- I am terrible at small talk.
- My husband Dan and I have been together for 33 years.
- I like to work hard, and work is also play to me.
- I like getting older, except for perimenopause, that part sucks.
